IED explosion: Four security officials injured in NW

At least 14 security forces were killed and 21 injured in an IED explosion in Razmak subdivision of the agency.

MIRANSHAH: Four security personnel were severely injured when an improved explosive device (IED) planted near a roadside exploded in Speen Waam tehsil, Mir Ali in North Waziristan Agency on Tuesday.

The target was a vehicle carrying security forces. An official of the security forces said the convoy was en-route to Shewa from Speen Waam. The injured, identified as Jamil Hussain, Taj Wali, Bilawal and Sher Zaman were shifted to an army based medical unit at Mir Ali while security forces surrounded the area and launched a search operation.

On January 13, at least 14 security forces were killed and 21 injured in an IED explosion in Razmak subdivision of the agency.
