GUJRANWALA:

The Anti Corruption Establishment is all set to take action against 200 unregistered private schools in the district, EDO (Education) Shaukat Ali Tahir told The Express Tribune.

He said ACE had sought a report from him in this regard. He said he had been assigned the responsibility to monitor unregistered schools in Gujranwala, Kamoke, Wazirabad, and Nowshera Virkaan.

Tahir said these schools had been imparting sub-standard education and were no following the syllabus prescribed by the Education Department.

He said according to the School Regulation Act, 1984, schools were bound to be registered with the Education Department. He said the Anti Corruption Establishment had been given a special task to take actions against such schools.
