United stand: ANP to host anti-terrorism moot

An ANP delegation held a meeting with the head of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party.

PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has started approaching political parties for convening an All Parties Conference on terrorism.

An ANP delegation comprising the president of party’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chapter, Senator Afrasiab Khattak, MNA Bushra Gohar and Senator Nabi Bangash held a meeting with the head of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mehmud Khan Achakzai and President of Pakistan Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who agreed to participate in the proposed APC on terrorism.

The ANP delegation also met Muttahida Qaumi Movement leaders, including Federal Minister Babur Ghauri and offered fateha over the death of MQM MPA Manzar Imam. Members of the two parties hailed the telephonic contact between ANP president Asfandyar Wali Khan and MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
