Bilateral ties: Pakistani students to travel to Japan

The government of Japan has invited five Pakistani university students and one supervisor to visit Japan.

ISLAMABAD: The government of Japan has invited five Pakistani university students and one supervisor to visit Japan under the Japan-SAARC Kizuna (bond) Programme.

Toshikazu Isomura, counselor of the public affairs department, handed over travel documents to the selected Pakistani students at an orientation ceremony held on Friday.

The Kizuna programme is a youth exchange project between Japan and SAARC countries to reaffirm intercultural bonds. SAARC nations provided assistance following the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011.
