Measles Outbreak: Ombudsman orders probe

Faruqui gave three weeks to the committee to complete its investigation and submit a report with recommendations.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan M Salman Faruqui constituted a committee on Wednesday to probe into the alleged maladministration that caused the outbreak of measles across the country. Faruqui gave three weeks to the committee to complete its investigation and submit a report with recommendations. A team of eminent professionals has also been co-opted to render their expert assistance to the committee on the matter.  He has also advised the committee to interview affected families and officials of the affected federal and provincial governments on the matter.
