ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India will start a new visa regime for citizens above the age of 65 and provide them visas on arrival from January 15 (today). The Indian High Commission in Islamabad on Monday highlighted the features of this facility and said that visa on arrival will be available daily between 10am to 4pm at the Attari immigration check post and will be applicable for passport holders above the age of 65. “The facility can be availed for the sole purpose of visiting India to meet friends or relatives and not for business, medical, employment, pilgrimage related purposes,” a press release of the Indian High Commission stated. Applicants for the latter category can apply for Indian visas, as per regular procedure.
