Militants targeted the pipeline by planting a bomb: Police

NOWSHERA: Gas supply remained suspended to a large number of consumers in Swabi and parts of Nowshera after the main supply pipeline was destroyed by unidentified militants in Jehangira area of Nowshera district on Saturday. A police official of Akora Khattak, Rajab Ali said police officials at Kabul Bridge checkpoint in Jehangira informed him of the explosion, adding that he rushed to the site where locals told him they heard an explosion near the bridge at around 8pm. He added the militants targeted the pipeline by planting a bomb.
