Outstanding dues: Power supply to 13 police stations cut

Also, Civil Lines police station was relocated after district government declared its building unfit for use.

GUJRANWALA: Gujranwala Electric and Power Company (Gepco) on Saturday cut power supply to 13 police stations for Rs20 million outstanding bills. The police stations are: Police Line, Satellite Town, Model Town, Civil Lines, Sabzi Mandi, Baghbanpura, Dhalay, Girjhak, Jinnah Road, Aroop, Saddar Gujranwala, Cantonment and People’s Colony. Also on Saturday, the Civil Lines police station was relocated to Safah Centre after the district government declared its building unfit for use. The Civil Lines station house officer said that the police station will be demolished. He said construction will begin soon afterwards.
