Anti-polio drive: Asifa Bhutto meets injured workers

Asifa promised the families of the deceased polio workers that the government would continue to support them.

KARACHI: Pakistan’s ambassador for Polio Eradication, Asifa Bhutto Zardari, met families of the polio workers, who were killed in targeted attacks in December 2012, at the Sindh Chief Minister House on Tuesday.

Asifa promised the families that the government would continue to support them. She also met the injured workers and assured them of better security. She held a meeting with chief minister where she stressed that the anti-polio campaign must continue unhindered. Asifa also inaugurated the anti-polio drive at the Ibrahim Ali Bhai School in Gizri.
