KHANEWAL: A cattle thief was beaten up by some people on Tuesday after he was caught stealing. They shaved off his head and cut his moustache. They then put shoes around his neck and paraded him around. Police said he was caught when he was untying Rana Jameel’s cow in Chak 7. Jameel caught him and called some neighbours, who beat up the man. On hearing the noise, more neighbours joined in. They shaved his head and moustache and put shoes around his neck. He was then walked around the area and handed over to the police. Residents of the area said they meant to do this to be a warning to all thieves.
