The MQM chief had announced late Saturday that he would “carry out a political drone strike” within 72 hours, asking the nation to be mentally prepared for it — leaving many political observers guessing.
Political observers, however, take the timing of Altaf’s announcement seriously as it comes at a time when the MQM chief was bound to appear before the apex court today (Monday) in a contempt case.
Altaf had urged his party workers to prepare themselves for the strike and for its after effects.
The party statement released, though, did not elaborate on the nature of the attack, nor the intended target of the strike.

They produce leadership from the middle and lower middle classes - but this leadership move up the social ranks real fast. Go check where their MNAs, MPAs and Senators started from and where they are today. On the pretext of 'middle-class representation', they act the same way as every other party does.
@Aysha: Are they still middle class?? local town administrator's house garage containing 2 1600 CC, 1 Prado & a 1300 CC car.(All Personal, not official)
"they produce leadership from the middle and lower middle classes and they these leaders dont get rich over night"

Political drone is ready to be launched, but out of CNG. Wait until the supply resumes. :p
MQM is the only hope, they produce leadership from the middle and lower middle classes and they these leaders dont get rich over night. They are the ones genuinely interested in improving the condition for the masses than filling their coffers
Politicians using symbols of drones and tsunamis. What a country!
@Paki: Modern city, Karachi?! My request to you is to go out once in a while. Been living in Karachi since 24years i.e since my birth and i can assure you, karachi is the biggest garbage dump in the world at best. This city is dirty, filthy, haphazardly designed & probably the only large city in the world without a metro train or bus. To top it all, innocent people are targeted by unknown people everyday.
Altaf Hussain talks about Drone Attack, Tahirul Qadri talks about Earthquake, Imran Khan talks about tsunami. What are these guys upto? May God save Pakistan from all these threats!
Establishment has rented the Drone. Qadri is the Drone, Altaf Bhai is pilot on the ground, Democracy is the target, Only missing is communication link. Imran and Chaudhry's of Gujrat are not giving access to their communication satellites.
@Paki
Bro....what are you smoking nowadays ????
@DevilHunter
Yeah ,compare to any city of Punjab .
@Ali "nikka drone" ? now i know you are speaking punjabi .
Drone's wheels got punctured. Arranging a spare wheel
@Paki !!: Ever seen a modern city?
Kudoos to his supporters - they need a medal.
Yeah exactly. The short apology ( nikka drone) has been deployed and served the purpose. The former ( 72 hours wala drone) will be a longer apology after declaring CJ his "bara bhai".
I Hope This Won't damage the Democracy !!!! MQM is Good bcoz they have turned KHI into a Modern City, I Hope MQM soon will be Punjab, So We can also have people like Mustufa Kamal, Faisal Sabzwari in Punjab. Altaf Sa'ab Sada Khush rahen !!!
Altaf Hussain will not back down. Maybe, somebody foned and requested him to cool off for a while. So, you can expect fireworks later. Any comments on the unconditional apology tendered by Altaf Hussain, accepted by the Supreme Court, and finally disposing off the case. Salams
The great leader Mr Altaf Husain made it clear that it would not take any step which may undermine or hurt independence of the judiciary. It’ll be a political drone. I’m sure, it will not hurt the independent judiciary. (Dr Asif)
Thank you Altaf Bhai for introducing the phraseology of "Political Drone" Although it is not the military drone that brings collateral damage with its attack yet its mere announcement for its possible use against the vested interest has created panic in the political circles. Live long Altaf Bhai.
he should avoid giving statements during happy hours
looks more like a 'hawai' (firecracker) rathar a drone lol
@Aijaz Haider: you wish
first get your parts together ....until then keep your gob shut!!! no one is interested in your political jokes....get over it!!!
I pray for my family's life in karachi!!!
Sher Shah Market or Soldier Bazaar, Karachi can be very useful for spare parts! For advanced technology, we can try tapping the Barra Market in Khyber.
"Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that the ‘political drone’ he had made an announcement about was ready to be launched, however it lacked some parts which will be arranged in a day or two" Lacked some part is not correct terminology. In fact with disposed off SC contempt notice his balloon got deflated or punctured so now never will be a political drone attack. To me it was just the pressure tactics to deflect the attention of powerful elite of the country. Good tactics chief of MQM. You are really a true politician.
So..this was the political drone strike he talked about.
and the drama begins...
Pray there are no casualties.
He does this kind of cheap stunt every time when he got trouble for the sake of deviation from the allegation he faces.
I can guarantee that in Pakistan, media will forever thrive because of the entertainment substance it has for public....
Ballooon Deflated
