KARACHI:

Hitting out at the Mihaj-ul-Quran chief for his planned “million-man march”, Sindh’s information minister said on Sunday that Dr Tahirul Qadri was trying to create confusion in the country.

“Certain people are trying to derail democracy by using different tactics,” Sharjeel Inam Memon said in a statement. “But such efforts will go to waste,” he added.

The minister said the masses could not be fooled by fake slogans and neither could the government be pressurised. He advised Dr Qadri to mend his own ways before criticising the Pakistan Peoples Party.

“The masses are aware of who they are, they [masses] know that they are the same people who supported the [Pervez] Musharaf regime and opposed the democratic system”.

Sharjeel added that Dr Qadri would never succeed in his plans of bringing chaos. “Mr Canada [Dr Qadri] should try and bring revolution in another country – what Pakistan needs is not revolution but democracy,” he added.

Sharjeel states "what Pakistan needs is not revolution but democracy"

Last time I checked, that's exactly what Pakistan needs, a revolution

its common sense. You take a toy away from a kid , he cries. This the government we are talking about, just imagine that being taken away from you. They are all scared as to what will happen on the 14th Jan.
