Expanding cities: ‘Relocate Gattwala Toll Plaza’

FCCI presiden says industries located in Khurarianwala are part of the city.

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) has proposed that the Gattwala Toll Plaza on Sheikhupura-Lahore Road should be shifted outside Khurarianwala. FCCI President Mian Zahid Aslam said that many industrial units were located on the Sheikhupura-Lahore Road so that a number of workers and industrial traffic moved frequently from the city to this zone. He said industries located in Khurarianwala were part of the city. It was therefore unfair that those visiting the industries several times a day had to pay toll multiple times.
