An additional district and sessions judge directed the FIA director on Friday to proceed in accordance with law on a petition seeking the registration of a case against a man accused of obtaining money to send the petitioner’s son abroad.

Petitioner Nasreen Bibi submitted that Dr Ayub had agreed to send her son Nazeer Ahmed to Germany for Rs800,000. She said she had paid the amount to Ayub on July 10. She said Dr Ayub did not fulfill his promise and later refused to return the money. She said she had visited the FIA office to lodge a complaint but was ignored. She asked the court to direct the FIA director to register a case against the accused.

The judge directed the petitioner to visit the FIA director and directed the FIA official to investigate the matter.
