According to sources, Miandad was due to leave for New Delhi on Saturday to watch the third and final ODI between India and Pakistan on January 6.
Miandad has been previously denied visa by Indian authorities since his son married Ibrahim’s daughter.
Extremist parties in India though had raised objection to their governments volte-face on granting Miandad a visa for the upcoming match.
Miandad though did not confirm whether he will visit India on a later date.

If you are civilized people, you will not tolerate a mass murderer/terrorist wanted for the killings of several hundred innocent and defenseless men, women and even children. In a society where law and order prevail, he would be extradited to India to face the law in a court that provides fair and just trial. But I guess Pakistanis don't know what that is.
Pakistani visa applicants visiting India should be thoroughly investigated before a visa is issued to them. They should NOT be given visa on arrival. No country in the world allows VOA to Pakistani passport holders. India should follow this practice strictly. In regard to Pakistanis associated with or related to underworld criminals and terrorists -- as Javed Miandad has been with Dawood and his ilk -- they should be pointblank refused entry into India and NEVER be allowed to set foot on Indian soil.

I am really getting baffled by Indian reactions, this kind of attitude we in Pakistan used to have about 25 years back and now have moved on.
I reckon this Indian reaction is showing a general slide in attitudes and thinking of public,I only hope and wish that its a minority.
@KB: Just a few days ago the Pak army gave a statement that Pakistan's enemy is within , it is the criminals and the terrorists who are destroying Pakistan . Regarding that last ball six it hurt like any unexpected loss would but one also acknowledges and accepts the mental strength of a great batsman who held his nerve in a high pressure situation and got his team home . As a batsman i rate Javed right up there with the greats but after his links with Dawood he is as NO NO for me . Human lives are far far more important the batting skills .
A very sensible decision by Javed, and typical looser mentality by Indian politicians.

Miandad is the father in law of a guy whose father is an internationally reclaimed terrorist, searched by all nations except pakistan. Miandad is a no welcome in india, until and unless he sends his relative mr. Dawood Ibrahim to indian authorities... but thats ok, if we can find OBL chilling out in a 3 floor spacious compound which is at the just corner of a military base, the there'll be no doubt that Dawood is chilling in a posh 3bhk duplex of a reputed area of central lahore/karachi. Shame on miandad for linking up his son's relation with the daughter of a bad don whose hands have blood of 1000s of innocent people in 1992 mumbai blast. i am not a Shiv sena or rss or bjp supporter, but ill surely not like to invite the brother of a murderer who has killed my brother. Also, I know that many other Pakistanis have been issued VISA for the final in Delhi. So then, why are the Indians just picking on Miandad. Well the reason is valid in my view.

If only the US and other Western countries follow this policy and not issue visa to Taliban friends and apologists. Known friends and family members of the terrorists and questionable personalities must be dealt with strictly and according to laws of the land. In fact even if such questionable people arrive they must be interrogated fully to make sure they are not a threat to any country.

why call Indian parties extremist.. Its a valid objection by Indians as to why should we allow someone having links with Dawood Ibrahim into our country ("known" terrorist). It is a clear message that we don't want people with terror links in India.
