A nine-year-old girl was taken to hospital after she was raped by three men on Wednesday. Doctors treating her said that she was in a critical condition. The medico-legal report confirmed rape.
Airport police have registered a case against seven people for kidnap and rape, five of them have been named by the child’s mother.
The girl had had gone missing from in front of her house on Wednesday morning, and was later abandoned back there in a nearly unconscious state.
Station House Officer Irshad Joyia said that a team had been constituted to arrest the suspects. He said police had been informed that they had fled to Alipur village.
According to the FIR, the girl, a student of class two, was abducted from in front of her house in Manzoorabad in Rahim Yar Khan by three women and a man. She was taken to a dera, where she was raped by three men, one of them identified in the FIR. She was also beaten up before she was abandoned in front of her home.
Her mother told police that she had found the girl near their house. She was bleeding and close to fainting. She said when she was taking her to the police station, when one of the kidnappers stopped her and threatened to kill her if she informed the police.
She said she went back home, but later informed the police.
She said she was told to take the child to Sheikh Zayed Hospital for examination and treatment.
Doctors treating the girl said that her condition was critical due to loss of blood and internal injuries. No one has been arrested yet.

i am a mother of an 8 year old and i got goose bumps reading this.... we talk about honour killing ...if a father or a brother even suspect a girl of having an affair...what should be the punishment for these men and women who raped a 9 YEAR old...they are not human ..give them a dog to get rid of their frustration...SHAME ON YOU FOR CALLING YOURSELF A MUSLIM and for women to help in kidnapping that poor girl..maybe they should be ganged raped to see how it feels ...
This is disgusting - how can men treat any female especially a child in this way. Their animals and should be hung. Pakistan was a country made for Muslim but its sad to say Pakistan is failure to the world. The legal system is non existant & changes for those with money, parents fail to teach their child the basics about respecting each other and equal rights, everyone just there to bleed the system dry. It's a lost case. No hope for Pakistan.
Four witnesses should not be required to confirm rape. DNA evidence and medical examinations these days can determine whether someone has been raped or not. And what rapist in their right mind would rape someone in front of four witnesses, unless they were all in on it? And this is a 9 year old child that got raped. Where in the world is she supposed to produce these witnesses from? With the current law, nothing will happen and her rapists will walk free, while this poor girl is scarred for life. What kind of justice is that?
It's the oldest news in my memory that I heard my parents were reading off the paper when I was in class II & III. Later it became my obsession to look for such horrible news while hoping "I don't see it in today's paper", but sadly the news always won and I lost. So many years have gone by but nothing is done regarding child molester and rapist who are walking freely in disguise and in plain sight. Fact is: Every neighborhood has a few and every family has one rising through. Check with local Psychoanalyst for tell-tale signs before it's too late, please!

@Royale: What you need to realize is that Shariah law may not find that there was a crime here. You need witnesses and even then you need to prove that the girl resisted appropriately. And if the rapists can convince them that she didn't, her nightmare has only just started. She is either labeled an undesirable never to be married or worse, she can be stoned to death or worse. Yes, there is a "worse". They used the former Olympic Stadium in Afghanistan just for this sort of thing.

Very probably the family was Christian, and the perpetrators of the "religion of peace", as we're assured it is. This is happening every day in Islamic countries, where minorities have only a facsimile of human rights. Consider me as really dumb and please explain to me how it works.
Why would a woman need 4 male witnesses to prove that she was doing adultery (Why would anyone try to prove that she or he was doing adultery)? Or is it that a man needs 4 male witnesses to prove that the woman is an adulteress (if so, would he also not become and adulterer?)? Can the 4 witnesses be 4 women? Or is it like for a third party to prove that two people (man and a woman) are involved in adultery needs 4 male witnesses?

The hudood laws in Pakistan as amended by musharaf state that you need to produce 4 witnesses for rape(eye witnessing the particular act), it is not enough that you can produce scientific evidence such as lab tests. This case is exactly why those laws are wrong, we need to move away from the laws of the stoneage revived by a dictator. Let this be an opportunity as a nation to fight against barbarianism, procedural injustice and desentitization
@Brian Davids, Sahih Muslim and Sahih Bukhari are not Quran. There are a lot of fabricated Hadiths in these books and not every muslim believe them to be totally accurate.

I am saddened beyond my capacity to be sad. I don't wish to even contemplate what a poor, hapless parent must go through when such atrocities happen to their children. The sheer feeling of helplessness would drive me to murder or suicide, in that respective order. Find these people, confirm their guilt [which is a simple matter of medical / chemical checks, rather than in-person witnesses], and hang them by their toes to the trees in that same village, and let them starve to death in front of every one around.
Islamic punishments, ridiculed by nearly everyone I come across these days as barbaric, are exactly so to cause the necessary level of detriment in the potential perpetrator. Invisible punishments mean nothing to any of us as we have become extremely desensitized. Hang someone till death in public and see how it impacts the society close by.

Being a father and brother we should all be taking serious action against this violence against minors. Rape against girls and boys is widespread in pakistan. Mostly it goes unreported. Some who molest and are caught are given a good beating, other who are not caught roam freely. The rape and molestation causes a serious blow on the children and their confidence levels drops for the rest of the lives. Some children also face psychological problems. We need to have a separate institution to determine the causes which create these demons, where these incidents (confidentially an option) can be reported and speedy action taken against the culprits. As far for the punishment it should be severe. Rapist, molestors should be given the capital punishment.
