In the wake of threats of possible terrorist activities on the occasion of Chehlum, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Wednesday directed cellular service providers to suspend services in 58 major cities of the country today (Thursday).
Except for six cities of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) where mobile phone services were switched off from midnight on Wednesday, services are to remain suspended from 8am to 10pm.
The interior ministry directed PTA to suspend cellular services after it received requests from provincial administrations.
Services will remain suspended in 18 districts of Punjab, nine of Balochistan and six districts in K-P, Sindh and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) as well as Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B). The main cities where the services are to remain remain suspended included Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jehlum, Sargodha, Multan, Pakpattan, Bahawalpur, Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpur Khas, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan Bannu Division, Quetta, Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi and Sibi.

I request the government that please remove/cancel/terminate Fair Trial Bill 2012 if you can't leave the old bad habit of blocking mobile phones' services and can't control terrorism without blocking mobile phones' services.Don't irritate the nation in double way....
