Iran unveils new combat helicopter

Iran unveiled its latest combat innovation, a helicopter named Storm II, during a ceremony in Tehran on Wednesday, Radio Pakistan reported.

The combat helicopter is meant to help make Iran self-sufficient in defence and counter international sanctions.

Iranian Defence Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said the helicopter is comprised of modern and advanced technologies, including high-precision targeting.

Iran warns off foreign planes

Iranian military spokesperson Commander Amir Rastegari issued a statement on Tuesday warning off foreign surveillance planes that have tried to approach Iranian forces during naval drills in the Strait of Hormuz.

The navy has threatened to block the strait if it comes under military attack.
