Allopathic Ordinance 1962 and Drug Act 1976 be used to take action against individuals practising medicine illegally.
All quacks involved in illegal medical practices must close their clinics, said EDO health Dr Imdadullah Siddiqui, in a handout issued on Monday.
According to the handout, Medical Degree Act 1982, Allopathic Ordinance 1962 and Drug Act 1976, would be used to take action against individuals practising medicine illegally.
Dr Siddiqui also appealed residents to inform health officers in their districts about quacks, assuring them that their names would be kept secret.

@doctor: @thinker kindly check the stats of the other countries also and then state something about pakistan . The Good Doctor's objection is valid, One cannot just grasp anything from thin air and make it pass for a fact. Skepticism, expressed by @thinker however, cannot be brushed away that arbitrarily. One has been let down again and again.

And Thinker, no, most people don't die at the hands of qualified physicians. Most people wait till their disease has complications which makes it difficult for us to treat them. Yes, mistakes are made, but they are very few compared to the lives that are saved. So please, respect someone else's profession when it's a tasking, time-consuming, tiring job and sometimes, even dangerous.
These quacks prescribe the dumbest 'totkay' apart from usage of steroids. I remember a patient once telling us that some 'healer' told him to drink donkey's milk for TB. This causes a delay in treatment, hence the development of complications.

Most of people die by the hands of qualified doctors in hospitals. Provide better health facilities to people. Pakistan has no procedure to check the performance of qualified medical doctors.They, in small or big clinics act like butchers.how many of the patients lose their lives during surgery just because doctor's mistake.
