Supervisors met at the agency headquarters Saturday with 86 of them, including the 56 workers. They were told to launch the campaign especially in Ekkaghund, Haleemzai and Parang Ghar where cases have been reported. “How can an organisation or a government provide security to 86 teams,” asked a Fata Secretariat official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. He acquiesced that the demands were genuine and that they couldn’t blame the women. They have been told that they can’t be given security, said Field Supervisor Dr Shabbir. They are on their own. One case was reported in Pindyali tehsil this year, with four in Mohmand Agency In 2011 and 13 in 2010.

when 70% of our police force is busy protecting our VIPs and VVIPs then of course nothing will be left to provide extra protection in such special cases
Why cannot these health workers be given protection?....does the Pakistan army not have enough soldiers to assign to these groups?...Pakistan is slipping into becoming a failed state that cannot protect any of its citizens against the Taliban enemy....
