Non-payment of dues: Railway station, colonies ‘in the dark’
Rs10 million are outstanding against the Railway Department Faisalabad, says FESCO spokesperson.
FAISALABAD:
The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has suspended electricity supply to Faisalabad railway station and three railway workers’ colonies over non-payment of dues. Fesco spokesman Tahir Sheikh said on Friday that Rs10 million were outstanding against the Railway Department Faisalabad. He said the FESCO repeatedly reminded the railway authorities to pay the dues but to no avail. Many railway employees demonstrated later against the suspension of electricity supply to their houses.
