‘Stealing from employer’: Employee, family ‘tortured’

BUREWALA: A factory owner and his friends have been accused of stripping an employee and his family members and torturing them, allegedly to force them to confess that they stole from him. An application was submitted to the Fatehpur police station on Thursday by Mohammad Arshad, a resident of Chak 469 EB, alleging that Mohammad Kashif, Malik Mohammad Faisal, Mohammad Akram and Mohammad Saleem broke into his house and tortured him. According to Arshad, the men took away Rs50,000 from his house. He was then taken to the factory where his brother and nephew, Mohammad Tariq and Mohammad Aslam, were already being held. The complainant said that the three of them were stripped, whipped and beaten with iron rods. The men let them go after their screams alerted the neighbours, who then talked to Kashif and his accomplices. Aslam and Tariq were admitted to a hospital for treatment.
