Anti-Polio campaign: Over 280,000 children to be vaccinated

534 mobile teams have been constituted to visit houses during the campaign.

RAWALPINDI: The authorities aim to vaccinate 281,000 children under five years of age in a five-day anti-polio campaign that started here on Thursday. Rawalpindi EDO Health Dr Zafar Iqbal Gondal said that 534 mobile teams have been constituted to visit houses during the campaign. In all 13 teams will be deployed at transit points, such as bus stands, to vaccinate children. The district has been divided into areas and zones and area in-charges and zonal supervisors will monitor the 63 union councils in Rawalpindi district, he added.
