Busted: Big cache of arms seized, 2 held

The police took into custody Qasim, resident of Kalyam.

GUJAR KHAN: A big cache of weapons and ammunition were seized by the Gujar Khan police on Tuesday, police sources said.

A police team, led by Sub-Inspector Raja Akram, raided a weapons’ repairing shop on Railway Road and confiscated a large quantity of illegal arms including seven 30-bore pistols, one repeater gun an automatic gun, one TT pistol with 20 rounds.

The police took into custody Qasim, resident of Kalyam. In another operation, the same police arrested Zaheer and seized 120 grams charas, one 30-bore pistol from his possession. The police registered separate cases against the two suspects under arms and narcotics control law and started investigation.
