With Aurangzeb Farooqui likely to be discharged from hospital within 24 hours, the outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan now renamed Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat (ASWJ), has given a deadline to the government to arrest the elements behind the targeted murders of its party men.
It warned of a “kafan posh dharna” outside the Parliament House in Islamabad if the criminals are not arrested by January 10. This was announced Wednesday evening after a meeting held at the ASWJ’s headquarters at Jamia Masjid Siddiq-e-Akbar at Nagan Chowrangi. ASWJ spokesperson Maulana Akbar Saeed said a “long march” for Tahafuz-e-Ahle Sunnat would begin toward the Parliament House on January 11.
