KARACHI:

There was massive reshuffling in the police department as all three operational deputy inspector generals of the Karachi police were transferred on Tuesday.

According to sources, the reorganisation occurred because of the worsening law and order situation, especially the widespread targeted killings and sectarian violence in the city. It is expected that Additional Inspector General Iqbal Mehmood will also be transferred in the upcoming days.

Asif Ejaz Sheikh, who was recently given the post of the district south zone DIG, has been reposted to the district west as a replacement for DIG Javed Odho. Meanwhile, Odho now holds the DIG Rapid Response Force position.

Why Karachi police has never shot someone on the spot who is involve in shooting at innocent people? Doesn't it tell that Karachi police in particular, and all other security agencies, who are operating in Karachi in general, are useless. Is it because of the fact that they are just incompetent, or they are full of politically appointees which will not shoot at their political godfathers?
