KHANEWAL: A total of 450 police officials will accompany health teams, charged with vaccinating children against polio, during the next polio drive. A notification to the effect was issued by District Police Officer Rai Ijaz Kharal on Sunday. The decision was taken keeping in view the recent attacks on polio workers across the country in which at least nine have been killed. The DPO also instructed the Health Department not to send teams in the field unless they were accompanied by police.
