PESHAWAR:

Christians have cancelled Christmas celebrations following Bashir Ahmad Bilour’s assassination.

On Sunday, representative of Assemblies of God Church Younatan Younas told The Express Tribune that the killing of Bilour by militants had rendered the entire city in a state of immense loss.

This year the community has decided not to celebrate Chrismas with the same religious fervor that is usually expected with the holiday, and have instead decided to celebrate a simple and toned-down Christmas in his remembrance.

Religious services will be held in all churches of the city and special prayers will be offered to sympathise with those who lost their loved ones in the attack. He said that a Christmas festival held every year in Kohati has also been cancelled.
