LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency on Friday told the Lahore High Court that Interpol had been approached for help with arresting Asim Malik, chief executive officer of the visa consultancy firm Future Concern. During the hearing of over 100 petitions against the firm, Lahore FIA Director Waqar Haider told the court that it had been confirmed that Malik had fled abroad. On his request, Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi directed the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to provide the relevant CCTV footage. The court also ordered him to collect the record of cars used by Malik. The court adjourned the hearing till January 16 and directed the FIA director to come up with a progress report. The petitioners say they had given money to Malik for going abroad, but he neither sent them abroad nor returned their money.
