New faces, please

The nation has tried PPP and PML-N twice and every time, the two parties have failed to provide good governance

Letter December 21, 2012

LAHORE: As elections approach, we see a number of politicians switching their loyalties, making alliances with potential winners to remain in the corridors of power. They know the art of looting and plundering national wealth and fully exploit the short memory of people in general. The nation has tried the PPP and the PML-N twice and every time, the two parties have failed to provide good governance.

The fact of the matter is that appointments for government posts are not made on merit but on sifarish and nepotism. This is precisely why we need to see some new faces win the next election.
