KARACHI: PIA produced an excellent first-half performance to rout Wohaib FC 4-0 in their Pakistan Premier Football League match yesterday. PIA came out of the blocks quickly and were a goal ahead inside eight minutes thanks to striker Shakir Lashari’s goal. PIA pressed further and doubled their lead through midfielder Nadeem Tariq nine minutes later. With their noses already in front, PIA struck again in the 32nd minute to end any hopes of a comeback for Wohaib FC as they went into the half-time with a commanding 3-0 lead. It was a similar story in the second-half as Muhammad Ishtiaq made it four on the hour-mark to put the result beyond doubt. In another match, Navy downed PMF Athletico 2-1 at their home ground.
