Half of the issues found in the current tax system would be resolved if the Federal Board Revenue (FBR) refrained from meddling in politics, said Federal Tax Ombudsman Shoaib Suddle on Wednesday.
Suddle, who was visiting the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Balochistan, told members of the chamber that even though FBR had its faults, citizens should not use that as an excuse to dodge taxes.
The ombudsman said education, healthcare and the law and order situation could only improve if people began paying their taxes.
