Contempt Notice: MQM chief asks party to drop protests
The apex court had issued a contempt of court notice against Altaf for his remarks against the judiciary in his December 2 speech in Karachi.
On Tuesday, the MQM chief called on all organisational units of the party to show patience and cancel all protests against the judiciary, and to refrain from using any derogatory language against it.
He also called on party workers to not converge at the Supreme Court on January 7 – the day he has been asked to appear before the court – and to only let MQM’s constitutional and legal experts appear.
Altaf said he did not want to ruin the sanctity of the court and did not want to take the path of confrontation.

OK .Let's be patient and -------patiently watch --------evil hurting good. We won't say nothing ------even if courts and its judges contempt our mandate------- simply because we are who we are. We'd "refrain from" --------calling a spade a spade and pretend -------we don't know and can't see. Like Altaf Husain said he did not want-------- and we agree with him---------- who are we------- "to ruin the sanctity of the court", ----------they are enough and doing it to themselves----- and we all who can see, see this.
I heard the whole 2nd December speech and could not find anything wrong with what hussain said. I have often heard CJP saying no one is above the law I want to remind CJP that not even judges or lawyers are above the law!
Chief Justice didnot take suo motu against Afrasiab Khattak who challeneged the verdict of Kalabagh dam supreme court ? Why ?
Why Arsalan Iftekhar's cases has been forcefully pulled down ? Why ?
Why the security forces were attacked in Peshawar and everyday scores of security personnles are murderd in KP , Supereme court never bother to buzz .
But when simply someone points out that a certain decision by a certain judge is biased he is labelled as has been done the contemet of court !!!!!
This is so obvious that the Chief justice and his judges are biased to the party of Karachi .
what about those abusive language used in past days who will take responsiblity of violence and un announced Strike in Karachi

Any literate person would abide by the law, there is nothing to praise him for! Infact, one should be critical of his behavior upon the SC notice - the language, the protests, the threats etc - he should be answerable to that!

Why this sc does not take any suo moto action against those who attacked sepreme court ? why sc does not declare as criminals those who have received money according to Asghar khan Case ? Why sc treats Arsalan Iftikhar differently ? Why sc does not take any action against Asfandyaar Wali who openly shows disrespect for verdict by High Court on Kalabagh Dam ? Why sc does not take suo moto action against Talibaan who after carrying out carnage take responsibility of thier crimes agaisnt humanity ? No sane person can say that this sc is impartial and providing blind justice.
Just reverse his statements and predict the upcoming.........the same way when he said "We will (not) protest against the courts call" where (not) was silent ;)

This is the right decision.
Every one must respect the law as well as the courts.
It seems that MQM does not want to extends to the rest of the country because still they are using the immoral ways of politics. There is a good room for them and people will welcome them if they stop this bloodshed and join the mainstream politics and address the people issues which other parties failed to do. The supreme court belongs to this land, people any hatred toward it will be directly towards the masses.
This is an anticipated and mature move by Muttaheda. The outburst was only reactionary and it seems it was also meant to be temporary. As far as being a minority leader, it is suggested you read the history of Pakistan, but before that please think before you ink. Thanx. Salams
MQM workers are desperately trying to create a cause for Army Operation in Karachi.
Once again great precedence set by MQM, if they had followed PML N and stormed the Supreme Court like they did against the former Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, it would have been against the very essence of the philosophy MQM stands for. MQM once again been successful in diffusing a difficult situation with patience and maturity.
