MULTAN: Institute of Cardiology nurses demonstrated against the Deputy Medical Superintendent for allegedly misbehaving with a nurse and stopped working in the hospital. Young Nurses Association President Shameem led the demonstration. Speaking to the media, Shameem said staff nurse Shazia had been suspended from service “for not being on duty four days ago”. She said it was ironic that Shazia was suspended from service despite being on duty. Shazia said she tried to talk to Dr Hammad on Tuesday, but the doctor slapped her. The demonstrating nurses said they would start work only after Shazia was restored.
