On display: Art exhibition opens at GCUF

A four-day exhibition showcasing 50 art theses by students opened on Monday.

FAISALABAD: A four-day exhibition showcasing 50 art theses by students opened on Monday. The exhibit was organised by the Government College University Faisalabad’s (GCUF) Institute of Arts and Design. It covers a large variety of displays, including textile design, fashion design, fine arts and graphic design. The event was inaugurated by Dr Pervez Azeem, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences dean. The Faculty of Science and Technology dean Dr Naureen Aziz Qureshi, Dr Nighat Bhatti, Dr Umair Arshad Bajwa, Additional Controller Examinations Kishwar Naheed, Director Aftab Ahmad Chattha and Coordinator Tehmina Afzal were also present. The graphic art corner depicted various awareness drives; including Education for All, Road Safety, Dealing with Anxiety and Being Well-wishers. The fine arts corner presented various themes, including ‘The Best Journey in Life is to Seek Knowledge’ and Parasitic Behaviour. In the Fashion Design section, some of the designs took inspiration from paper art and air. Islamic geometric patterns, architectural patterns, mosaics, Spices of Life, Glance of Royalty and Beauty were displayed in the Textile Design corner.
