RAWALPINDI: A trial court on Friday accepted the bail petition of former Railways SSP Javed Khan in three different cases against surety bonds of Rs100,000 each. The Railways police had filed three cases against the former official relating to illegal recruitment, changing official records and abuse of power after he retired from service last year. Counsels for the accused Sheikh Ahsanuddin and Qazi Waqar contended that their client was serious ill and the cases framed against him were politically motivated and based on mala fide intention. They argued that Javed Khan had denied all the allegations and that his service record included a nomination for the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal.
