Hundreds of students, unemployed youngsters as well as employed professionals, landed at the “Job For All 2012” fair in Islamabad in order to explore career opportunities, said a press release.

More than 30 national and multi-national companies set up kiosks at the fair, which was organized by the Islamabad campus of the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST). The companies at the fair included those working in banking, marketing, information technology, communication, medicine and engineering sectors.

The event was open for all and students of different public and private universities as well as ambitious youngsters got an opportunity to directly interact with the hiring managers and submit their resumes.

A large number of resumes were collected by the companies and a number of applicants were shortlisted for further processing. Most resumes were submitted by applicants who have done their Masters in Business Administration. However, a number of such applicants were offered jobs in domains other than business administration, such as communication, community development and research.

The applicants also included a large number of females, who were mostly interested in teaching and banking.

The job fair is an annual feature at SZABIST.
