ISLAMABAD:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has produced results in over 90% cases that Public Accounts Committee (PAC) referred to it. The committee, the country’s supreme accountability body, has been able to recover Rs180 billion worth embezzled government money.

This was stated by a PAC member MNA Yasmeen Rehman while speaking at the conclusion of Corruption Week on the theme “National Development is a Function of Democracy, Rule of Law and Accountability” organised by NAB Rawalpindi.

She said the NAB provided assistance to the committee, which lacks an investigation arm of its own. NAB Rawalpindi Director General Colonel (retd) Subah Sadiq Malik said that NAB has recovered billion rupees worth of looted national wealth.
