NBP in Kyrgyzstan: Kaira lauds Pakistani expats in Bishkek

Kaira says bank branch has attracted Pakistanis and the Kyrgyz nationals alike.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira on Thursday lauded the role of Pakistani expatriates in strengthening Kyrgyzstan’s economy and building bridges between Bishkek and Islamabad.

Speaking during a visit to a National Bank of Pakistan branch in the Kyrgyz capital, he said that the Pakistani community in Kyrgyzstan has not only contributed to the Kyrgyz economy but has also played an important role in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations. The minister was given a detailed briefing on the working of the branch by its general manager Yawar Khan.

He said that the branch has attracted Pakistanis and the Kyrgyz nationals alike. The minister lauded the performance of the branch and said the bank was providing services fitting international standards. Later, Kaira also attended a dinner party hosted by the Pakistani business community in Kyrgystan, where he listened to the problems of the Pakistani community.
