Serving humanity: Volunteer day observed in Charsadda

CHARSADDA: The National Commission for Human Rights Development (NCHRD) celebrated World Volunteer Day on Thursday. Executive District Officer of Education Attaullah Khan was the chief guest on the occasion while NCHRD Director Operation Riaz Hassan Khan, General Manager Dr Mir Alam Khan and political officer of Mohmand Agency were also present. They said that World Volunteers Day teaches them to serve humanity. Adding that many people helped victims of the 2005 earthquake and 2010 floods in 2010, they said that NCHRD volunteers were ready to serve in any unpleasant situation or incident in the country. The speakers said that it was the responsibility of every citizen to help each other in hard times without seeking a reward.
