"If two provinces want it and two do not want it, then how can it be made," Nawaz told reporters in Raiwind.

Noting how the recently passed Sindh Peoples Local Government Act had created a political storm in Sindh, Nawaz said that the law “is an act of dividing Sindh.”
“The people of Sindh will never accept this [SPLGA],” the PML-N chief said before adding that his party too had rejected the act.
Nawaz added that people of Sindh are looking for an alternative leadership since they did not get anything under the current regime. “There are no jobs, no merit system there, its a rule of tyranny.”
Political parties have armed wings
Referring to the observations made by the Supreme Court in the Karachi violence case, Nawaz said that political parties in Karachi maintained armed militant wings.
“The supreme court named these parties and they are sitting in the government there.”

PTI trolls have only one task that is to oppose PML-N to pave way for PPP and prove the fact that PTI stands for Pasha Tehrik Intiqaam! It was only PML-N that opposed the extension to General Pasha of ISI. Pakistan needs a strong federal government, free from any influence of Pasha Tehrik Intiqaam, to build national consensus.
@Naheed: I think the Court decision is in the interest of the country, at least the debate has started on the dam after all we are to built water reservoirs all over the country. Due to climate change there can more water shortages. We do not have any planning how we will cater the needs of Agricultural and Domestic users for the population of over 200 Millions It should be duty of Ministry of Water and Power to convene yearly meeting of all political parties representing in National as well as Provincial Assemblies that's how we can develop consensus on water reservoirs in the country.
Courts are only concerned with what is legally and procedurally correct. They cannot give orders based on their or anyone else’s whims and wishes. It is high time that we should all understand the fact that a political issue needs to be resolved politically because the courts can do no more than interpret what the law actually is. As has been provided for in the judgment, Government is bound to act on decisions made by CCI. Hence, ET and other newspapers should avoid maligning judiciary and knock sense in people and government to resolve political issues in parliament and not in a court room. It is only a forum to have your grievances resolved.
@Altaf Hussain: I agree the economy was booming but the boom was short time. We can not wait for foreign investment to come with conditions .we should develop our own resources. In this connection the Water reservoir are essential for the prosperity of the country. We are draining the precious water into the sea for nothing.
Every party including MQM/ANP and more are opposing the Kala Bagh Dam but no one is coming with alternate concrete suggestions. There should be open dialogue on this important issue where all the Political Head should come and give their counter suggestions in order to preserve the water for the present and future generations

It seems as if this is point scoring before elections. Probably, sharif paid a judge to make statements about Kala Bagh Dam and now Sharif is making statements to appease people of smaller provinces. We are not that stupid Mr. Sharif.
What is the use and need of a leader if every decision has to be made with consensus. Leaders who look for consensus are gutless, coward and conviction-less. And unpatriotic.

Nothing will EVER get done in Pakistan because 2 pakis can never agree to 1 course of action. It is the Pakistani way and the reason we are in the stone ages while our neigbours are economic superpowers

Even a kid knows that Kalabagh Dam cannot be built without consensus among federating units. Basically NS is saying forget about KB Dam because he knows the smaller provinces are against it. It is an abject surrender and flip flop not vision.
all people have their own vested interests . people are living in load shedding for 12 hours a day and still we are ignorant not to make dams for electricity .
Nawaz Sharif is a true visionary leader and the only man who can take this country out of the current crises. Pakistan needs leaders like him if it has to become a Tiger economy like the far eastern countries. We have wasted 5 precious years under the corrupt and impotent government with a growth rate of mere 2 percent per year.

Mian Nawaz Sharif , leader from a region of central Punjab, will be more than happy to see Sindh divided so that he may have a say in Sindh affairs. But the fact is he has no place in sindh politics because the real elected forces of Sindh are united to not let opportunists exploit any differences. These forces are led by two sons of Sindh: Zardari and Altaf.

Mian Nawaz Sharif is the only hope rest behind with Pakistan to vote him for 5 years and ahead to bring it back to Jinnah's Pakistan. Personally I am convinced with the arguments in favor of the construction of the Kalabagh Dam. I admit that I belong to PPP but after the Shahdat of BB Mian Sahib is a changed man. We look BB in him. He rightly said, “If two provinces want it and two do not want it, then how can it be made,” Could it be a national agenda in coming elections.
