KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) coordination committee condemned the spate of targeted killings in Karachi and demanded that authorities arrest the culprits. In a statement issued on Friday, the committee said that the series of attacks were aimed at destroying the peace in the metropolis. The party singled out the attacks on Dr Shahid Hussain, and the murder of Nazar Abbas in the presence of his 13-year-old daughter. MQM leaders Waseem Akhtar and Rasheed Godil visited the girl, as well as her family on behalf of MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
