The party chairman, addressing a press conference, expressed sorrow over the targeted killings of his party leaders, workers and other Karachi residents, and called for strict action to be taken against the target killers.
Ahmed said that it was the responsibility of the law enforcement agencies to provide security but the agencies have been paralysed instead.
On Thursday, three Mohajir Qaumi Movement activists were gunned down by three men allegedly disguised as policemen in Landhi’s Mansehra colony. The dead included party’s vice-chairperson Zafar Khan Qaimkhani.
According to the party, over 100 MQM-H activists have been killed since Afaq was released from jail in December last year.

I think Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and half of Sukkur will be formed into a future Mohajir Republic. I think the seeds if Mohajir separation are being sown, it is no secret.
@Javaid: shame on u calling him ur brother
I don't support MQM(Haqparast) and do condemn the way ladies from Afaq Ahmed's home got harrassed, but I don't want to trust this guy either since everyone knows about his history too.He even was in alliance with fascist groups such as SSP(now ASWJ) just for political purposes. Moreover,it's been more than 65 years but still the word Muhajir is attached to all of us. My grandparents did migrate from India but I am a Pakistani citizen since birth and have never even been to India.
@Saima
Calling Muhajirs a distinct ethnicity, community or nation doesn't make sense either if you closely study social sciences and humanities since people from different backgrounds and states/provinces migrated towards Pakistan after partition. But I would really support formation of new provinces and union territories. And based on the distinct history of Karachi amidst other areas of Sindh,I would really suggest the city to become a Union Territory irrespective of remaining a provincial capital afterwards.
You are pursuing civil war in country.
@Khatri Yes return indeed .You gave us barren land named Karachi .We made it the Mega city Karachi where you are coming in hoardes to claim your stakes when the cake is baked .
what a return to sindhi peoples they welcome you at this land and you people plan to bifurcate their motherland.very sham
@Faisal: I do not support the right to self determination, I am also a Mohajir, but I do strongly support a Mohajir province. However, I don't have a problem with the threat of "Right to Sefl-Determination" should be used in order to at least get a province. I know the sense in Karachi and urban Sindh is headed towards separation, but the stakeholders, especially MQM, needs to play a responsible role here to prevent that.
@Faisal: My brother, I know Mohajirs are very upset, but please don't speak of self determinate. The Mohajirs should have the province, they have every right to seek own province, but please no self determinate or separate homeland. Pakistan needs Mohajirs, and Mohajirs need Pakistan.
The Haqiqi group needs to apologize to Altaf Hussain and all of the Mohajirs. In return, the MQM should accept Afaq Ahmad back into the party, and the two factions should unite for the right to self determination......Republic of Mohajirstan.
Pakistan is not as yet matured enough to have democracy in the country.
After 65 years of independence, every innocent people and political workers of various different political parties are been killed by the 'unknown people' and just to fulfill the formalities, Police register cases against 'unknown people' out of which probably some may have been arrested and later released on payroll.
Due to various political reasons, unemployment and higher rate of inflation, it is obvious that Civil War in knowing the door of Karachi and which may take the city out of complete control of law enforcement agencies.
After the cold blooded murders that takes place and kill on an average 10 people in Karachi, the officials of the law enforcement agencies are only seen after the crime has occurred but they are in no position to save the precious human lives.
I can see more people will be killed on daily basis as the general elections are coming close. I don't think that even after the general elections, the situation will be improved under any circumstances, therefore in order to save people from brutal killings, it has now become mandatory to impose a complete Martial Law in the country.
No one can imagine as what is happening with the family members of the people who are sole bread earners of their families and are killed every day and without fail.
If Martial Law will not be imposed, more innocent people will be killed and God know where the country would be heading - probably people sitting at the helm of the affairs are waiting to see that unless Pakistan will be totally collapsed, politically, economically and morally.then they will come into action.
May Al-Mighty Allah save the remaining and left over Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Aameen.
Same type of demand was made by his former Boss a few months ago! It is them who have made Karachi a jungle state
