Annual General Meeting: PBA elects office bearers for 2012-13

PBA elects Muhammad Aslam Kazi (KTN) as its chairman, Salman Iqbal (ARY) as senior vice chairman.

The Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) has elected Muhammad Aslam Kazi (KTN) as its chairman, Salman Iqbal (ARY) as senior vice chairman, Sultana Siddiqi (Hum) as vice chairman, Shakeel Masud (Dawn News) as secretary general, Mir Ibrahim Rahman (Geo) as joint secretary and Sultan Ali Lakhani (Express) as its finance secretary for the year 2012-2013.

All the office bearers were elected unopposed on its annual general meeting held on Wednesday, a PBA statement said.

The members had appointed Tahir A Khan as internal commissioner to conduct and hold elections. The AGM also elected FM 107, FM 91, FM 106.2, FM 89 and FM 96 as radio members on the PBA board.

The reader (nazir) of the Sindh High Court Naveed Ahmed Soomro acted as commissioner for the elections and attended the AGM to observe and monitor its proceeding to ensure that it goes on smoothly and without any interruption.
