The Balochistan government on Wednesday reiterated its offer of jobs and rehabilitation to insurgents if they bid farewell to arms.
Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi chaired a meeting of the Apex Committee on Balochistan to review the security situation in the province. The meeting announced a number of incentives for people who had taken to hills and offered them employment and resettlement if they surrender.
The meeting announced establishing a special welfare fund for the comprehensive rehabilitation for militants who give up the armed struggle. The committee also decided that the provincial government will play its role in settling tribal disputes and issues.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Minister Aslam Raisani, Chief Secretary Fateh Mohammad, Commander Southern Command, Lt General Mohammad Alam Khattak, IGFC Major Gen Obaidullah Khan Khattak, IG Police Umer Khattab and Home Secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani.

Interesting....I dont know why we dont learn from our mistakes....This exercise can be fatal without proper safeguards....Has the state ensured that these insurgents are no more dangerous?
How the recruitment process will filter out people who will play on both sides. A wonderful opportunity for separatists...
What of job are being offered????? Same as Package 5000????? All professional Doctors, Engineers, Masters degree holders were given 15000 salary job with no benefit.... ???? Even when BPSC is corrupt then hw merit was ensured in these 5000 jobs of whose ruling elites claim that they have done a great mercy on Balochs. Its good but who trust them???? Instead of wasting time on working hard. People should be given free hand like the kidnappers who move freely and are powerfull that government is cannot to take action.
That's a good initiative. They are our brothers they should join the mainstream now. All Pakistani are passing through troubling times but balochistan needs a bit special treatment bec they feel deprived. So their hopes should be addressed. Long live Pakistan
One of the reasons these men took up arms in the first place is because they had no jobs and no security. I think it's a good step by the government to try and resolve the problems faced by the province.
Present Provincial Government has many jobs. They have a decent business of Kidnapping for ransom and car lifting. So the people should lay down their arms and pick up new arms for new business.
Justice & provincial autonomy is the key to success for "Pakistan" and cure of Baluchistan http://bit.ly/fqc9YP
Atleast people agreeing that there are poeple with arms fighting Pakistani state within the state.
I'd bet the unemployed want to hit something right about now.
Great idea Nawab sahib. All job seeking youth should take up arms to get jobs. The " Nawab Saab formula".
So instead of job application form, you would need to fill in a gun application form?
