KARACHI: Three Pakistani clubs – Lahore Rugby Club, Islamabad Rugby Club and LUMS – will showcase their skills at the prestigious Dubai Rugby 7s rugby event that gets underway today. The event comprises various international invitational teams along with 16 international sides. The local clubs will be up against top nations like New Zealand, the US and the UK.  The Islamabad and Lahore teams have good memories of the event as they have won silver medals in the past editions of the tournament. The Pakistan Rugby Union President Fawzi Khawaja welcomed the participation of local clubs in the event. “Presence of our rugby players in such international events will help the game progress in Pakistan,” he said.
