Drain blockage: Couple, son beaten up

No one has been arrested so far.

HEAD MURALA: A couple and their son were beaten up on Wednesday by seven men for stopping them from blocking a drain used by both parties. Police said Shamsuddin, a resident of Muftpura, often blocked the water drain which caused problems for his neighbour, Mian Khan, who sold fish. They said Khan had told him several times to make sure that the drain was not blocked from his end, but to no avail. On Wednesday, Khan had an argument with Shamsuddin. A few hours later, police said, Shamsuddin and six men broke into Khan’s house and beat him up. They also beat his wife and son. Khan has registered a complaint with the police saying that Shamsuddin and six men had beaten them with wooden sticks. No one had been arrested so far.
