Black Day: ANP Sindh, PML-F to join Nationalist parties in strike
Awami National Party Sindh chief Senator Shahi Syed urged his party workers and supporters to stay away from their jobs, from opening businesses as part of the black day strike on November 30. He added that workers should protest non-violently.
Meanwhile, the general secretary of PML-F Imtiaz Shaikh said that they will not talk to the government till the controversial law is withdrawn.
“We will never shut the door on talks, but this is an issue on which everyone in Sindh is worried,” he told media in a press conference.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will celebrate November 30 as the day it turns 46 years old. Information minister Sharjeel Memon had said that the PPP will celebrate its foundation day across Sindh on that day.

@ Ammar, The law and order situation has got nothing to do with LG, Law and Order has always been the subject of Home Ministry and Home ministry alone is responsible for this. Not City govt, and not the mayor. get some perspective. "Concurrent events are not always correlated !!" otherwise I could just say I got married when LG was in place, that doesnt mean my marriage and LG is something correlated.
@sick of this nonsense, agreed thats the ideal scenario, but that formula didnt work out, after 4 years of consultations. The main purpose of local govt is govt at your door step, and the way nationalist want Hyderabad disctrict is such that people would have to travel from one city to another more than 1-2 hour rides, just to get minor services of the govt. Yes we all are same, but none of these nationalist said this when the sindh rural and urban qouta was imposed alienation sindh urban from govt jobs and dividing sindh into two by the way there also point the LGO that any other city which wants lg can be granted one. how much more flexibility you want ??
We All Sindhi's united each other and support each other because it is call of mother land. No other words it need National spirit.
@Syed: local govt system is very good but it should not be attained at gunpoint. The dynamics of Hyderabad is different. Instead of saying "you and I" you should say us as we all are of the same province.
Shahi Syed should just simply Shut Up, who is he to interfere , when people of Karachi want local governance if nationalist don't want it ask Government not to implement it in interior Sindh from where they belong isn't it Democracy why and who give them right to meddle in Karachi and Urban affairs do any one vote them from there? For God Sake live and let us live.
Sindh nationalist and other parties dont have issue LG system they are opposing the new law bcz it has different system for the rural and urban areas and specials laws made for the karachi city..they wont one single system for the whole sindh..not every1 in khi or hyd want LG system..what have the ppl of khi got good roads and beautiful pulls,parks etc and they had paid hundreds od lives for it..its just makes a mafia more stronger here
@Sindhi_Pakistani: All are keeping mum when one diverts the attention towards Sindhi nationalists who once supported General Musharraf's system and contested the election under its hallowed shadow. I really wonder when same people have become champion for violating rights in past. They are now vocal expressing sincere thought before they have deceived people of this province on number of instances.
Humble request is to pease stop claiming to be so loyal and try to be down-to-earth.

ANP why not observing BLACK DAY in K P? Ask their party workers and supporters to stay away from their jobs, and opening businesse their they are 100 percent victorious.
While one doubted whether MQM would waver from it support from PPP and betray the democratic forces: it seems that when the push has come to shove it is ANP which is intent on destabilising the PPP.
ANP is ruling Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with total control due to PPP's support without any interference but in a province where PPP has a simple majority ANP wants to blackmail them.
It is a part of democratic norms to launch protests against any bill or Law. Sindh has serious concerns against SPLG Bill. PPP used LG system to bargain with MQM. SPLGB does not address genuine concerns of Sindhi people.
