Grudge: Ex-husband attacks woman with axe

A case is registered against Aslam at Seetal Mari police station.

MULTAN: A woman was injured in an alleged attack by her former husband on Tuesday. Police said Zarina Bibi, a resident of Samijabad Road, had been living with her parents after getting divorced one month ago. They said her ex-husband, Aslam, had recently forces his way into the house and been staying there for several days. They said Zarina’s Bibi’s parents had told Aslam to leave, but he did not. On Tuesday, police said, Aslam had an argument with Zarina Bibi and attacked her with an axe. She was taken to Nishtar Hospital, where doctors treating her said that she was in critical condition. A case was registered against Aslam at Seetal Mari police station. Police said he had gone missing since the incident.
