Public transporters unblocked the road after talks with the police.
Meanwhile, Shahrah-e-Faisal and other major arteries of Karachi, including Rashid Minhas Road and Shahrah-e-Pakistan, were jammed with traffic as cars lined up for CNG at the few stations that were open despite CNG station owners’ decision to close in protest of forced price reductions.
Public transport is also scarce on roads, with most people standing in long queues trying to get CNG, which has created massive traffic jams.
Earlier, the All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) had threatened to close down stations if prices were not reviewed.
APCNGA Chairman Abdul Ghyas Paracha had said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) was informed through talks regarding the pricing of the gas as well as the loans taken from banks.
He had demanded that Ogra should provide them with profit after working out the production price.

The Government should cancel all the licenses of CNG Stations who are not obeying the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Prior to the use of CNG, the vehicles were running on Petrol and Diesel. And after the permanent closures of CNG Stations, the vehicle owners will run their vehicles either on Petrol or Diesel.
All vehicles presently running on CNG can also run on Petrol and Diesel than why the vehicle owners wants to run their vehicles on CNG?
The day Government will start cancelling the licenses of CNG Station Owners, they will go and touch the feet of the Government to reopen it and will sell on the price as fixed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
